Kenya National Archives
Kenya National Archives (Moi Avenue, Nairobi) — in an old building, National Archives is a beautiful place exhibiting Kenya’s history. There is a public gallery with a good collection of domestic artifacts, ethnography weapons, musical instruments and drawings on the ground floor. The first floor showcases paintings of Mzee Kenyatta along with some photographs of the Mau detention. On the second floor there is a reading room meant for personal and professional projects. One can also find a collection of Kenyan handicrafts in the National Archives. Admission: KES 200 (tourist), KES 50 (Kenyan). Hours: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (weekdays only).
